Acoma Vintage Native American Pottery Polychrome Pot

This Acoma Native American Polychrome Pot is in impeccable shape and truly stands the test of time! Made by Acoma potter L. Gunn, they created this piece by stacking hand coiled rings of clay on top of each other and then scraped them smooth together to create the desired shape. They then painted the outside using paints made from the Bee Weed plant and using a brush made from the yucca plant to apply it. This pot is 6" by 7-1/2", and is vintage circa 1970's-1980's with the artist's signature and location on the bottom and commensurate age on the condition of the pot. This Acoma Vintage Native American Pottery Polychrome Pot is a beautiful piece of pottery that will make anyone displaying it feel mighty proud!

While most of our silversmiths are Navajo, we employ artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some work from home, on the reservation, and some work here in our shop. Alltribes Native American Art and Jewelry blends ancient history, natural beauty, and unparalleled expertise flawlessly. We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time.
