Hopi White Bear Kachina Doll

This Hopi White Bear Kachina Doll or Hon as he is called, was made by Milton Howard. Although the helmet and gloves display the most fierce-some intent, this supernatural has the knowledge of the ages concerning roots and herbs and uses them to the good intent of the tribe. This wonderful display includes: shells, a jacla necklace, fringe, decorated breech cloth  and a full size black bear at his feet....can you believe this is all cottonwood?! Including the base, it's about 8-1/4" tall and 7-1/2" wide. This Hopi White Bear Kachina Doll is hallmarked under the base.

While most of our silversmiths are Navajo, we employ artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some work from home, on the reservation, and some work here in our shop. Alltribes Native American Art and Jewelry blends ancient history, natural beauty, and unparalleled expertise flawlessly. We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time.
