Horsehair Pueblo Acoma Pottery Vase

Featured is a Horsehair Pueblo Acoma Pottery Vase which is designed with fired-in horsehair patterns. Horsehair pottery vases are made using a step by step that is entirely crafted by hand. Which really sets them apart from other pottery vases. Using the heat from the pottery after the heating process, horsehair is placed onto the hot pot for it to burn into the surface of the pottery. Creating a design that is so unique to that pottery. This Vase is 8" tall and 7- 1/2" wide. A depth of 7- 1/2" and a vase opening of 4- 1/4" wide. It weighs 2lbs and 2.5 oz. This pottery is signed by the Acoma artist. This Horsehair Pueblo Acoma Pottery Vase is more than just a beautiful work of cultural art, it's a piece of the spirit and the mystery of the Acoma Pueblo Nation.

While most of our silversmiths are Navajo, we employ artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some work from home, on the reservation, and some work here in our shop. Alltribes Native American Art and Jewelry blends ancient history, natural beauty, and unparalleled expertise flawlessly. We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time. Our dazzling, Sleeping Beauty Turquoise comes from a nearby mine in Globe, AZ. This unique and exceedingly rare turquoise is renowned for its hardness, durability, and gorgeous color. Our artisans preserve the natural beauty of this precious stone, so you can admire its elegance for years to come. A hand buffed polish protects the stones and heightens its natural beauty.
