Navajo Raised Outline Wool Rug

This Navajo Raised Outline Wool Rug was recently acquired in a trade & is perfectly lovely! Handwoven, it displays a wonderful texture, that can only be truly appreciated, in person! This dimensional style originated in the 1960s in the Coal Mine Mesa area in the western region of the Rez. Featuring a wonderful rose colored yarn, this is accented with cream and white and is woven, about 38 wefts to the inch. In very good, used condition, it's about 26" x 36", circa 1970's. Original sales tag from Gilbert Ortega's is still attached. This Navajo Raised Outline Wool Rug is one of a kind!

While most of our silversmiths are Navajo, we employ artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some work from home, on the reservation, and some work here in our shop. Alltribes Native American Art and Jewelry blends ancient history, natural beauty, and unparalleled expertise flawlessly. We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time. We are more than happy to offer curbside pickup if you are in the area, give us a call.

Our artisans preserve the natural beauty of this precious stone, so you can admire its elegance for years to come. A hand buffed polish protects the stones and heightens its natural beauty.
