Old Pawn Hopi Overlaid Silver Cuff

This Old Pawn Hopi Overlaid Silver Cuff was handmade by Weaver Selina. Depicting kachina symbolism, a cornstalk is set between rain bringers, the Long Hairs. He used two sheets of Sterling to form the images. Soldering the layers together, it was etched and oxidized. It's 2-3/8" wide at the center and will best fit a 6-1/2" to 6-3/4" wrist. It's hallmarked with a rising sun pictograph. This Old Pawn Hopi Overlaid Silver Cuff honors pueblo tradition and it's one of a kind!

Weaver (1944- ) was born of the Sun Forehead Clan in the village of Shungopavi (Second Mesa). He's an award winning artist, who learned from Bernard Dawahoya, Eldon James, and Manuel Poseyesva. His jewelry is in the permanent collections of the Heard Museum and the Museum of Northern Arizona, as well as private collections in the US, Japan and Germany.
