Two layers of German Silver were hand cut and hammered and then soldered together with oxidizing providing the contrast. A Santa Fe (satin) finish completes the Navajo design. Slightly curved, the shield is 2" long and 1-1/2" wide at the top. It comes on a 4-ply braided leather cord and including the Sterling tips is about 44" end to end. Handmade and hallmarked by by Thomas A Begay. This Overlaid Silver Native American Bolo Tie is a classic southwest accessory that adds the ideal finish to any shirt!

Thomas (1955- ) was born in Many Farms, AZ. He learned the traditional style from his father but eventually switched over to Hopi overlay, a style that he has loved for as long as could remember. His wife of more than 40 years, Ilene (1948- ) helps him with the stamping.

Very pleased with this Bolo Tie, it looks even better in person than in the pictures. I liked it so much that I wore it to Christmas services!
