Vintage Tohono O'Odham Medium Shallow Basket

This Vintage Tohono O'Odham Medium Shallow Basket is a beautiful shallow basket style that was made by an unknown artist from the Great Tohono O'Odham Nation. It displays a traditional geometric design pattern made of sun-dried yucca and devil's claw that completely cover the grass bundles. This basket measures 6-5/8" in length & in width and is 3/4" deep. This Tohono O'Odham traditional basket is in excellent vintage condition. This Vintage Tohono O'Odham Medium Shallow Basket is made with design and detail that is specific to this native region of South Central Arizona basket weaving.

While most of our silversmiths are Navajo, we employ artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some work from home, on the reservation, and some work here in our shop. Alltribes Native American Art and Jewelry blends ancient history, natural beauty, and unparalleled expertise flawlessly. We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time.
