Vintage Navajo Burntwater Wool Rug

This Vintage Navajo Burntwater Wool Rug was handwoven by Betty Ann Roan. This design is known for its range of plant-dyed colors and intricate patterning, and it displays a beautiful palette of color, that is just lovely! It includes soft peach and green, cream and several shades of gray. Finely woven at about 42 wefts to the inch, it's in very good, used condition. It's about 44-1/4" x 55" and circa 1970's with old sales tag. An exceptional textile to display in your home or office, this Vintage Navajo Burntwater Wool Rug is one of a kind!

Betty Ann (1955- ) is the daughter of master weaver Betty B Roan. She, her sisters and her mother are referenced in Schaaf's "American Indian Textiles 2000 Artist Biographies".
