Vintage Santa Clara Blackware Pottery
This Vintage Santa Clara Blackware Pottery is a wonderful collectible that displays perfect form and simple pueblo beauty! It's hard to believe this is hand coiled and pinched and scraped smooth for its final shape. It was stone polished to create the sun and mountain pattern and then fired outside to finish. It's almost 3" tall and 5-1/4" wide. It's in very good, used condition with light pitting and wear near the bottom and was made mid 20th century. Acquired from a closed trading post, there is a tag stating that this was found in a Jerome, AZ home in 1959. Add Arizona and New Mexico history to your home or office, with this Vintage Santa Clara Blackware Pottery.....it's one of a kind!
