Made with attention to detail and the utmost care of genuine Turquoise stones, this Vintage Turquoise Sterling Navajo Pointer Ring showcases expert craftsmanship that has stood the test of time! Made by Navajo artist Doris Smallcanyon, she created the image of the divine gift of the growing and harvesting of corn to Native American peoples out of solid and hollow sheets of Sterling Silver. She then crafts the face and fine details with beaded frame and hollow tubular pieces of silver, as well as hammered designs on the body of the maiden as well as on the single shank ring. Set on the eyes, skirt, and headdress of the figure are varying shapes and matrixes of genuine Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, all bezel-set with an added shadowbox effect on the head to finish the image. This ring is for sizes 7 to 8, is over 2-1/4" by 3/4" at the widest point, and is vintage circa 1970's with the artist's signature on the back.
