Sterling Silver Zuni Thunderbird Bolo Tie

This Zuni Thunderbird Bolo Tie by Bobby and Corraine Shack displays the pueblo bird of myth and legend! Stylish and detail-laden, the sleek, hand cut tiles of genuine Turquoise, Spiny Oyster, Mother of Pearl, brown shell and Jet, create a traditional yet sophisticated offering that is as nice as anything we've seen! It's 2" tall and 1-7/8" wide and comes on a braided leather cord. Including the Sterling Silver tips, it's about 48" end to end. It's signed by the artist B&C Shack, labeled Zuni and stamped Sterling. This Zuni Thunderbird Bolo Tie is the perfect southwest accent!

Bobby (1941- ) and Corraine (1942- ) have been making jewelry together since the 1970's. Bobby learned from his mother, Thomasine Shack and Corraine from her father, Blake Lasansee. They are referenced in Hougart's "Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks", Schaaf's "American Indian Jewelry I", Wright's "Hallmarks of the Southwest" and Bassman's "Zuni Jewelry" and are listed in The Kennedy Museum of Art "Art of the Zuni".

While most of our silversmiths are Navajo, we employ artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some work from home, on the reservation, and some work here in our shop. Alltribes Native American Art and Jewelry blends ancient history, natural beauty, and unparalleled expertise flawlessly. We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time. Our dazzling, Sleeping Beauty Turquoise comes from a nearby mine in Globe, AZ. This unique and exceedingly rare turquoise is renowned for its hardness, durability, and gorgeous color. Our artisans preserve the natural beauty of this precious stone, so you can admire its elegance for years to come. A hand buffed polish protects the stones and heightens its natural beauty.
