Navajo Wedding Basket Sterling Silver Bolo Tie by Calvin Peterson

This Navajo Wedding Basket Bolo Tie uses a traditional design that is rich in Navajo culture and history. A design typically seen in baskets, this bolo tie depicts a sacred ceremonial piece of a union between two individuals taking the next steps into marriage. Two layers of Sterling were hand cut and overlaid to form the image. Hand etched and oxidized, it's buffed to a satin finish. It's 2-1/2" wide on a 6-ply genuine black leather cord and about 44" long (includes Sterling tips). Made by Navajo Silversmith Calvin Peterson, stamped Sterling and hallmarked. This Navajo Wedding Basket Bolo Tie would make a beautiful gift for a newlywed!

While most of our silversmiths are Navajo, we employ artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some work from home, on the reservation, and some work here in our shop. Alltribes Native American Art and Jewelry blends ancient history, natural beauty, and unparalleled expertise flawlessly. We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time. Our dazzling, Sleeping Beauty Turquoise comes from a nearby mine in Globe, AZ. This unique and exceedingly rare turquoise is renowned for its hardness, durability, and gorgeous color. Our artisans preserve the natural beauty of this precious stone, so you can admire its elegance for years to come. A hand buffed polish protects the stones and heightens its natural beauty.
