Old Hopi Kokopelli Clay Pottery Ladle

This Old Hopi Kokopelli Clay Pottery Ladle was handmade by Delphina Poleahla. A pueblo kachina is hand painted on the handle and he plays his flute for abundance. Hand built and shaped, it was stone polished for a subtle sheen. It's about 5-3/4" long and 3" at the widest and there's a hole for hanging. In very good condition, this was made for the tourist trade and is circa 1970's and is hand signed. This Old Hopi Kokopelli Clay Pottery Ladle is a one of a kind collectible that is also a lovely work of pueblo art!

Although we could not identify Delphina, there are many family members referenced in Schaaf's "Hopi-Tewa Pottery 500 Artist Biographies". new-small-made-in-usa.jpg

While most of our silversmiths are Navajo, we employ artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some work from home, on the reservation, and some work here in our shop. Alltribes Native American Art and Jewelry blends ancient history, natural beauty, and unparalleled expertise flawlessly. We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time.
