The attention to detail on the carving is great. The scout is a great addition to my office and a great talking point to all that have seen it. The paint work and intricate carvings make it really stand out. It was also very well packaged on delivery to ensure no damange (which was good b/c UPS pretty much just dropped it on the door step)...

My only "complaint" is that while the main description states 5 footer, if you read the detailed description it states that including the pow wow drum it is nearly 6 foot. However, even with the pow wow drump it is 5 foot. I don't know if that was a typo in the description or not. Thinking it was 6 foot total was definitely a deciding point when I chose this particular carving.

That said, the craftmanship is great and I am pleased with the final statue, hence the 5 star.

The Scout Cigar Store Indian is quite the show-stopper! Hand carved and painted by Mandan Indian, Frank Gallagher, you'll feel like you took a step back in time, when these were used to advertise tobacconists. He holds a skull cracker and a pouch of cigars and the sacred white buffalo is depicted in a chest medallion accented by "turquoise" beads. His loincloth is decorated with meaningful symbols that include a tepee and rain clouds. Although his coloring is a neutral blend of off-whites and tans, the accessories are offered in rich dark browns, blues and cardinal reds. Including the ~14" wide pow-wow drum base, it's about 6 feet tall and is artist signed (carved) on the back. The Scout Cigar Store Indian is perfect for your home or office!

This was a surprise Christmas gift for my husband who is a big cigar smoker. He was shocked and thrilled to receive him into our home, he has however renamed him after a famous Florida Seminal Indian chief he heard stories about as a boy growing up in Florida. The staff could not have been more helpful in making this happen!

Absolutely perfect. I have wanted one since I was a little kid. This is perfect and look great in our home.
