Handwoven Vintage Twelve Point Navajo Wedding Basket 

This Vintage Twelve Point Navajo Wedding Basket displays hand woven artistry that is used for ceremonial purposes, bringing elements of harmony and balance with each layer that is woven with intricacy and talent! Genuine hand woven Navajo baskets are made with a braided rim, black and red bands, or triangle designs. In the banded design, the weaver would typically leave an opening known as the spirit line of the basket. The delicate process of making a basket involves the artist weaving long, hand-crafted laces made of sumac, willow, or yucca from the center outward, alternating the laces to produce patterns in the wedding basket design. Measuring about 15" diameter & 3" tall, there is no information on the artist.
