This Hopi Wood Carved Longhair Kachina Doll brings an extra added pop of color to any living space, and has a world of importance behind it! This supernatural (also known as the angakchina) appears at regular Kachina Dances. His hair and beard represent falling rain and he sings a sweet sounding song, to bring rain for a bountiful crop. Hand carved and painted cottonwood, the details include head feathers with a single parrot feather. He holds a spruce bough and has a wonderfuly detailed and brightly painted skirt and sash. He wears fathered arm bands, and has a fox pelt hanging from his back belt. About 18" tall and 5-3/4" at the widest point, this was once a golf trophy which is indicated by the base the figure stands upon.
