Native American Pottery Acoma Canteen with Handles
The traditions of Pueblo pottery, a combination of form and function, are succinctly contained within this Small Acoma Canteen. Contrasting geometrics change direction, separate and recombine. Their meaning is connected to the viewer, depending on one's own walk of life. Maybe they represent nature and landscapes, or maybe they are reminders of history or the feeling of the southwest. The design is painted free-hand on the slightly pinkish, cream colored clay. The handles are made from the same twisted clay. It's 5-1/2" tall and about 5" wide including the handles and unsigned. Add a little style and a piece of the Pueblo tradition to someone's life... including your own (of course!), with this decorative Acoma Pottery Canteen.
