Navajo Silver Eagle Concho Hatband

This Navajo Silver Eagle Concho Hatband is handmade by Dine' Thomas Begay. He used nine, scalloped German Silver conchos (1-1/2" by 1") and overlaid the bird design and accented it with oxidation for contrast against the high shine. They are securely attached on 3/4" wide leather in your choice of black or brown. A distinctive look for a guy or gal, it's 26-1/4" long and is adjustable. This Navajo Silver Eagle Concho Hatband is ideal for the rodeo or a night out on the town!

Thomas (1955- ) was born in Many Farms, AZ. He learned the traditional style from his father but eventually switched over to Hopi overlay, a style that he has loved for as long as could remember. His wife of more than 40 years, Ilene (1948- ) sometimes helps him with the stamping.
