Old Pawn Navajo Overlaid Silver Ladies Watch

This Old Pawn Navajo Overlaid Silver Ladies Watch by Richard Henry Yazzie was handmade and depicts the powerful patterns of moisture, a central theme to the lives of desert dwelling Indians. Crafted from two layers of Sterling, the recesses were oxidized for contrast. The tips are about 5/8" at the widest with four 1" long segments. For wrist sizes 6" to 6-1/4", the box clasp is hallmarked, and it comes with a complimentary timepiece. This Old Pawn Navajo Overlaid Silver Ladies Watch is one of a kind!

Richard (1927-2000) started producing jewelry in the mid 1950s. He was a smith for the Gallup Indian Trading Post from 1967-69. He is referenced in Hougart's "Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks", Wright's "Hallmarks of the Southwest" and Schaaf's "American Indian Jewelry III".

Your correct size: you must measure the circumference of your wrist. You can use a cloth tape measure, a ¼” strip of paper or a cord to wrap around your wrist and mark it. Lay it out flat and measure the length against a ruler, that’s your exact circumference and the size you wear.

We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time.
