Vintage Santa Clara Blackware Pottery
This Vintage Santa Clara Blackware Pottery was handmade by Flora Naranjo. This heavy vase was hand built in coils and the beautiful shape was created by scraping and smoothing. The clay is stone polished before firing, which creates the high shine and matte finish you see. It's 7-1/2" tall and 7-1/4" at the widest and in very good, used condition with light wear. This 20th century collectible is signed. This Vintage Santa Clara Blackware Pottery is one of a kind!
Flora (1914-2000) learned from her mother, and had been active since the 1930's. Her work is in the Heard Museum Phoenix, as well as, many private collections.
