Vintage Overlaid Silver Pendant Necklace

This Vintage Overlaid Silver Pendant Necklace was handmade by Navajo Willie Yazzie Sr. It displays the classic beauty of pueblo design, a Thunderbird! Handcrafted using two layers of Sterling Silver, the bottom layer is oxidized to create the contrast. It's 2" wide and comes with a melon bead strand. Including the hook and eye, it's 17-3/4" long, it comes with a 4" extension chain. Refurbished in our shop, it's hallmarked with a medicine man dipper. You can choose to keep as is vintage wear or choose a high shine option (non returnable). A wonderful piece to own and wear, this unisex Vintage Overlaid Silver Pendant Necklace is one of a kind!

Willie Yazzie Sr (1928-1999) was born in Chinle, Az. He learned and worked at Dean Kirks' Trading Post. Willie Yazzie St was a demonstrator at the Mesa Verde National Park in the summers from 1960 to 1983.

While most of our silversmiths are Navajo, we employ artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some work from home, on the reservation, and some work here in our shop. Alltribes Native American Art and Jewelry blends ancient history, natural beauty, and unparalleled expertise flawlessly. We are conveniently located near Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix, AZ in the historic town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, due to Covid and other factors, we are unable to take walk in customers at this time. We are more than happy to offer curbside pickup if you are in the area, give us a call.

Our dazzling, Sleeping Beauty Turquoise comes from a nearby mine in Globe, AZ. This unique and exceedingly rare turquoise is renowned for its hardness, durability, and gorgeous color. Our artisans preserve the natural beauty of this precious stone, so you can admire its elegance for years to come. A hand buffed polish protects the stones and heightens its natural beauty.
