Cigar Store Indian Chief

This Cigar Store Indian Chief was hand carved and painted by Mandan Frank Gallagher. A smaller and more portable version of our life size sculpture, he is traditionally dressed and includes a buffalo medallion and a long, breast plate. He's decorated with tribal colors and holds a pack of cigars in his hand, just like the early outdoor sculptures for tobacconists. A real conversation piece, it's the southwestern way to greet your guests. About 4 feet tall, including the 8" to 9" wide drum base. This Cigar Store Indian Chief is hallmarked on the back.

The Gallagher's use Aspen wood from Colorado to create these hand carved sculptures. With your purchase, you will receive a photocopy of an interview with Ralph Gallagher from the original June 1998 Issue of Arizona Highways magazine.
